IBPS Specialist Officer Eligibility or Qualification Criteria 2013
Eligibility criteria specified in the notification is the basic criteria for applying to the IBPS Specialist Officer exam. This may not be the actual criteria for the selection in any of the 20 Public Sector Banks as each Bank will set its own eligibility or qualifying criteria.
Candidates who clear the eligibility criteria of IBPS, they can apply for the CWE Specialist Officer exam. When any bank release recruitment notification, candidates can apply to that bank according to the eligibility criteria of that following bank if they satisfy their requirement.
IBPS Specialist Officer Exam Eligibility Criteria
Nationality / Citizenship:
Candidate must be either -
- A Citizen of India or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (1), (2), (4) & (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Marketing Officer (Scale I)
- Minimum: 20 Years
- Maximum: 35 Years
I.T. Officer (Scale-II)
- Minimum: 21 Years
- Maximum: 40 Years
Law Officer (Scale II)
- Minimum: 21 Years
- Maximum: 40 Years
Chartered Accountant (Scale II)
- Minimum: 21 Years
- Maximum: 35 Years
Finance Executive (Scale II)
- Minimum: 25 Years
- Maximum: 35 Years
Upper Age Relaxation:
- For General Candidates: 30 years
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 35 years
- Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer): 33 years
- Persons With Disabilities: 40 years
- Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within the stipulated time) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment: 35 years
- Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989: 35 years
- Employees of any participating Bank: 35 years
- Persons affected by 1984 riots: 35 years

Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation

Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/ Electronics & Tele Communication/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications from a recognised University/ Institution
OR
Graduate from a recognized university having passed DOEACC ‘B’ level
Experience: Nil
Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I)
Degree in Agriculture or allied specialisations such as Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Agri. Engineering/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri Marketing & Cooperation etc. from recognized university

Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)
A post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level OR a post graduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the degree level

A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB)

Technical Officer (Scale I)
Degree in Engineering in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgy/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Textile/ Chemical etc./ B.Pharm

HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I)
Graduate from a recognized university and Post Graduate degree or diploma recognized by AICTE in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HRD/Social Work / Labour Law

Degree/Diploma in Business Administration/ Management with specialization in HRD from a recognized University

Marketing Officer (Scale I)
MBA (Marketing) / 2 years PGDBA / PGDBM or any other equivalent degree or diploma with specialization in Marketing from a recognized University/ Institution

Experience:3 years experience of practice at Bar or Judicial service and/or Law Officer in the Legal Dept. of a reputed Bank or the Central/State Government or of a Public Sector Undertaking with practice at Bar
Chartered Accountant (Scale II)
Passed final examination for Chartered Accountants
Experience: Nil
Finance Executive (Scale II)
MBA/PGDBM (Finance) from a recognized university / AICTE approved Institution
Experience: 3 years in the area of Credit Appraisal of industrial projects in Financial Institutions/Banks
